Data Visualization

We are VME50- A united, tacit and efficient team. Our team is not only technically at the forefront of the UI industry, but also puts the user's visual and interactive experience in the most important position. We believe that data visualization can help to better analyze data, perfectly combine technology and art, and use graphical means to convey and communicate information clearly and effectively.

Design Motivation

In learning and designing for data visualisation, we have found that well-designed data visualisation can tell a story by effectively removing noise from the data and highlighting valuable information. Edward R, a pioneer in data visualisation, believes that "graphic excellence is about providing the viewer with the most ideas in the shortest amount of time, in the smallest amount of space with the least amount of ink." The way data visualisations are designed is therefore very important to achieve this goal. After reflecting on the feedback from three data visualisation presentations, our group agreed that the most important thing for data visualisation is to present the information clearly and visually to the audience. This meant choosing the right type of visualisation and making a trade-off between 'aesthetic design' and 'data presentation'. At the same time, we want the viewer to understand what they see quickly, so we should ensure that the data is logically presented and grouped. The choice of colours was also an important part of the design, and our team tried to choose colours that were relevant to the subject matter of the data and to keep the colours consistent across all the charts. This helps the viewer to immerse and understand our story more smoothly. Finally, we add appropriate annotations and baselines to our visualisations, which help highlight the contrasts we want to highlight in the data and help make it easier to determine the relationship between the different elements in the light.
